Canasta is a card game of the rummy family.  It is most commonly played by four in two partnerships with two standard decks of cards but variations exist for 2 or 3 players. Players attempt to make melds of 7 cards of the same rank and "go out" by playing all cards in their hand.
Although many versions exist, we agreed to a basic, easy version that new members can learn easily.

Play continues each Monday morning from 10 to noon in the Soroptimist room (and once a month in the Craft Room). Join in the fun! Everyone is welcome.
