The game of floor curling was designed for those who were no longer able to ice curl due to back and knee problems.  There is no sweeping and it is warm!  Wooden rocks with handles are used and the floor has shuffleboard wax on it. There are four people on a team just the same as ice curling with a skip, third, second and lead.  The skip has a pointer stick to show the players where to aim the rock.  The game is scored like ice curling.

This game has been around for over 20 years. There are bonspiels at various clubs all over the island.  The game is an event at the B.C. Seniors Games.  Handicapped people may use a stick to throw their rock if needed.

The game is played on Wednesdays at 1 pm. and Thursdays at 10 am in the Native Sons Hall.  Players are asked to arrive no later than 15 minutes before starting time so teams can be set up.  Cost is $1.00 for two games.
